Sima Hassan graduated from Aston University with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm). Her career began at Lloyds Pharmacy, where she undertook various roles, gaining extensive experience in pharmacy practice in the UK. In 2010, she partially transitioned into education, driven by a passion for teaching and mentoring future professionals. By 2016, she had fully transitioned to higher education by undertaking a teaching post at Aston University.
To further her expertise in teaching in higher education, Sima pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Aston University soon after Sima completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice from the University of Cardiff to develop herself as an expert in healthcare law and practice. Her academic journey reflects a dedication to integrating legal knowledge with professional practice. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Bradford.
As a pharmacist and legal enthusiast, Sima’s vision is to teach medical law, professional standards, and ethics in a practical and engaging manner. She aims to empower students to develop sound decision-making skills and foster their identity formation, preparing them to navigate the complexities of their professional fields with confidence and integrity. Students will be trained to justify their decisions based on the law, professional standards, and ethical considerations.
